Position Objective

The Program Director of Perioperative & Endoscopy Services, reporting to the Vice President of Clinical, provides strategic leadership and oversight for the perioperative & endoscopy services portfolio, which includes Operating Rooms and Cystoscopy, Post Anaesthetic Recovery Unit, Pre-operative Care Unit, Endoscopy and Surgical Day Care/Prescreening. The Program Director ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care that meets legal, regulatory, and professional standards while aligning with the organization's goals and objectives.

In collaboration with the Chief/Physician Director, the Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the program and fosters the integration of best practices at Humber River Health.

Employment Status: Permanent Full Time

Hours of Work: Day shifts from Monday to Friday (some evening and weekend hours may be required based on operational needs) - subject to change as per Management Rights

Location: Humber River Health, Wilson Site

Employee Group: Management

Reporting Relationship: Vice President, Clinical Programs

Career Experience And Core Competencies

Master’s Degree in Nursing or related discipline, registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO), and clinical experience in acute services coupled with at least five years management experience working with a medical dyad partner and experience in business planning, resource management, program planning, development, evaluation and managing patient care services is required for this role.
