Join Canadian Adventure Camp as a Healthcare Coordinator – Summer 2026

Canadian Adventure Camp is a full-service children’s summer camp located on 160 private acres of Adventure Island in Lake Temagami, Ontario. Each summer, we welcome 150 campers, ages 7- 17, and staff from around the world to enjoy 35+ activities and four specialty programs.

We are looking for a Healthcare Coordinator to join our health team and assist our Resident Doctor in providing exceptional care for our campers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a student or early-career nurse to gain experience in a unique, close-knit, summer camp environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, administer, and document daily medications as required.
  • Run three daily clinics following each meal.
  • Review and manage camper health forms, including medications and treatment plans.
  • Respond to camper and staff illnesses or injuries, consulting the Resident Doctor as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with camp management and camper families.
  • Maintain the medical centre, ensuring it is clean, organized, and sanitary.
  • Foster a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for all campers.

  • Ideal for a nursing student or nursing graduate.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills, organisation, and the ability to work as part of a team.
