You will practice in an environment where the emphasis is on activation, professional practice and customer satisfaction. Using your clinical expertise, you will, in collaboration with the team, be responsible for comprehensive assessment, care planning, patient education and discharge planning to support the continuity of care throughout the patient’s stay on the inpatient unit.Requirements

Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses. Current BCLS certification. Minimum of 2 – 3 years' related experience in a Medical/Long term Care environment with evidence of well-developed clinical skills. Previous palliative care experience is an asset. Completion of Gentle Persuasion is an asset. Excellent physical assessment skills; completion of a physical assessment course will be considered a strong asset.Created with Sketch.

Demonstrated good performance and attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard. Experience in IV Therapy. Working knowledge of computer technology. Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family-centred care environment. Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently.
