Our Nursing Resources Team is part of the Staffing Resource Centre. Registered nurses within the team are trained to cover all Medicine and Surgical inpatient units and can be trained in specialty areas when needed.
Position DetailsEmployment Status: Permanent Full‑time
Reporting Relationship: Manager, Nursing Resource Team
Hourly Rate: $40.24 - $57.68
Union Group: ONA
Hours of Work: Rotating shifts, 8 or 12 hours, days/evenings/nights/weekends
Location: Humber River Health – Wilson Site, Finch Site
Position Responsibilities- Perform registered nurse duties in all medical and surgical inpatient units.
- Be available for all rotating shifts.
- Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current BCLS certification or demonstrated competency.
- Recent medical and/or surgical experience is mandatory; minimum 2 years experience preferred.
- Coronary Care I or actively pursuing the Coronary Care Certification is an asset.
- Commitment to complete Coronary Care II within 12 months of starting on the unit is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a diverse range of staff, patients, and families.
- Excellent physical assessment skills; preference for applicants who have taken the physical assessment course.
- Good patient/family teaching skills.
- Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to set priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent attendance and discipline‑free record required.
- An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles is an asset.
