Employment Status: Permanent Part-time
Reporting Relationship: Manager, 9 East & West, Medicine & Nephrology
Hourly Rate: $40.24 - $57.68
Union Group: ONA
Hours of work: Rotating shifts, 12 hours, days/night/weekends
Location: Humber River Health, Wilson site
Position Responsibilities- RN responsibilities for general medicine.
- Care planning and coordination of care with various team members.
- Utilization of computerized systems for documentation of patient care.
- Participation in project teams or hospital committees as required.
- Resource/team leader responsibilities.
- Preceptorship of nursing students.
- Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- BCLS certification upon hire to show proof of valid current certification (registered nurses currently employed by HRH are exempted).
- 2 years of recent medical/surgical experience preferred.
- Demonstration of critical thinking and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with multidisciplinary team, patients, family members and visitors.
- Excellent organizational skills and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated good patient assessment skills. Patient assessment course preferred.
- Excellent attendance and discipline-free record required.
- An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset;
