Employment Status: Permanent Part-time

Reporting Relationship: Manager, 9 East & West, Medicine & Nephrology

Hourly Rate: $40.24 - $57.68

Union Group: ONA

Hours of work: Rotating shifts, 12 hours, days/night/weekends

Location: Humber River Health, Wilson site

• RN responsibilities for general medicine.
• Care planning and coordination of care with various team members.
• Utilization of computerized systems for documentation of patient care.
• Participation in project teams or hospital committees as required.
• Resource/team leader responsibilities.
• Preceptorship of nursing students.

• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BCLS certification upon hire to show proof of valid current certification (registered nurses currently employed by HRH are exempted).
• 2 years of recent medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Demonstration of critical thinking and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with multidisciplinary team, patients, family members and visitors.
• Excellent organizational skills and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated good patient assessment skills. Patient assessment course preferred.
• Excellent attendance and discipline-free record required.
• An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset;
