Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital is a state-of-the-art veterinary emergency and referral hospital that delivers expert care and treatment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are currently looking to expand our ER team and are looking for Registered Veterinary Technicians who want to stretch their RVT skills and be a part of an amazing collaborative team.

• Placement and maintenance of various IV catheters, urinary catheters, nasogastric tubes, and nasal oxygen cannulas; care and maintenance of patients with NG & E-tubes, closed suction drains, chest tubes, urinary catheters and wound diffusion catheters.
• Set up, maintenance and adjustment of IV fluid plans and pain CRIs, along with administration of multiple medications.
• Care for in-hospital patients including blocked cats, gastroenteritis, foreign bodies, fractures, lacerations, GDV, parvo and various autoimmune diseases.
• Stabilize and assist with anesthesia with our team of specialists for various surgical and wound procedures and manage post-operative care.
• Be part of a team that prioritizes patient care and best practice veterinary medicine in the GTA.

Schedule:

Our ER Technicians work a rotation of 4 on, 5 off with two 12-hour day shifts followed by two 12-hour night shifts. This includes weekends and holidays. TVEH offers competitive pay with an additional weekend/overnight shift premium.
