Senior QA Consultant

Position: Senior QA Consultant - 6 month contract
Our client in the financial services has experienced significant growth and has 2 openings for a Senior Quality Assurance Consultant for a 6 month contract.

This candidate will have extensive experience working in a testing function and be prepared to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

The Senior Quality Assurance Consultant will help in the testing efforts of new project initiatives as well as small enhancements to our existing applications and programs

Qualifications

Exceptional communication and documentation skills.

Strong Retirement Plan Services knowledge .401k Product knowledge highly preferred.

Ability to mentor Jr. QA’s.

Strong Mainframe knowledge of on-line applications (DB2)

UAT testing experience in both Mainframe and E-commerce environments preferred. (core competency will be with Mainframe)

Understanding and experience in Software Development and Testing Life Cycles

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to work and produce documented results;

Ability to work effectively in a team environment;

Experience in a formal Software Process Improvement or Software Quality (process) Assurance initiative

To determine root causes of defects and deficiencies, whether in the life cycle activities or in the use of the applications.

6 - 10 years testing experience

Manual Testing

JCL batch knowledge

Experience with Test Director or Quality Centre
