Position Overview

The Director of Leasing will lead the leasing strategy, execution, and performance management of the firm’s real estate portfolio. This role requires a strong analytical mindset combined with deep market knowledge and relationship-building capabilities. The individual will oversee leasing activities across the entire portfolio, ensuring maximum occupancy, rental income growth, and alignment with the firm’s long-term asset management strategies.

Key Duties And Responsibilities Strategic Leasing & Portfolio Performance
  • Develop and execute leasing strategies to achieve or exceed occupancy, rent growth, and absorption targets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and tenant demand to adjust strategy proactively.
  • Partner with acquisitions and asset management teams to evaluate leasing risk and upside in underwriting new investments.
Analytical & Financial Oversight
  • Conduct lease modeling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing to support leasing decisions.
  • Oversee rent rolls, vacancy reports, and market analytics, producing actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with finance to assess the impact of leasing activity on asset valuations and investment returns.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • In certain situations, manage leasing professionals and external brokerage teams to drive accountability and results.
  • Work closely with property management, development, and construction teams to align leasing with operational and capital initiatives.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering professional development and analytical rigor.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or MSRE preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive leasing experience in real estate, with a strong record of closing.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage internal teams and external partners & brokers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
