Our Loss Prevention team is looking for a Loss Prevention Specialist (Night shifts) to join our team at JD Sports Flint Distribution Centre! The Loss Prevention Specialist will work closely with Supply Chain and Loss Prevention management to provide a safe and secure workplace in all facilities including the distribution center.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensures physical security of the warehouse.
• Oversees access into and out of the warehouse.
• Monitors alarm and camera equipment to ensure adherence to physical security policies and procedures.
• Monitors and reports employee compliance for safety policies and procedures to Human Resources and Warehouse Leadership.
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
• Investigate and support safety and security incidents.
• Identify and assist with internal losses at the warehouse.
• Scheduled interior and exterior perimeter walk with a focus on security and safety risks.
• Provide fire watch duties for disabled areas in case of an emergency.
• Assists other loss prevention staff on store related issues and investigations.
• Additional duties and projects as required.
• The work environment for this position is strictly based out of the Toronto warehouse.
• Average work week is 40-45 hours, which can vary depending on business needs.
• The work environment for this position will be quiet office setting within a remote area of the warehouse.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Loss Prevention, Security, or Law Enforcement
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Google Suite products or equivalents.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of exception-based reporting.
• Sit or stand for more than 8 hours per shift, use hands for handling and feeling, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, walk or move from one location to another regularly, ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
