Assistant Store Manager
Our Bon Look Toronto Eaton Centre is looking for a dedicated assistant store manager to fill an existing vacancy. You will bring your exceptional skills and experience to our dynamic retail environment.
This is a full‑time position (30‑40 hours per week) that requires availability on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The store is open Monday to Sunday, so evening and weekend availability are essential.
What You’ll Do- Support the Store Manager in executing overall store strategies and operations.
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance skills, knowledge, and performance, aligning with organizational goals.
- Motivate and influence team members by empowering them and fostering enthusiasm to achieve store objectives.
- Plan, delegate, and manage team responsibilities across all areas of the business.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment by providing clear direction and cultivating a shared vision.
- Promote open communication through active listening and a transparent, trust‑based culture.
- Champion company initiatives, evaluate their effectiveness, and implement best practices to strengthen and enhance the brand.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience and creating value for every customer.
- Support store operations by performing additional duties as required.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- 1‑2 years of management or supervisory experience.
- Previous experience in customer service and retail preferred.
- Understanding of operations, processes, and business performance.
- Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.
- Proven ability to inspire, coach, and mentor a team while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive with a growth mindset, capable of managing changing priorities effectively.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, and multitasking skills.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of optical theory and eyewear merchandise is considered an asset.
