Role Overview
The Head of Marketing will oversee all performance marketing, lead generation, and product marketing while architecting our brand and growth strategies within the competitive retail technology landscape. You will oversee our marketing budget, run programs across different channels, and drive our lead generation efficacy. You will be responsible for defining Tulip’s position in the marketplace as the premier partner for retail success, leading a high‑performing team to achieve aggressive targets.
As a key collaborator with Sales, you will ensure marketing initiatives generate qualified, targeted leads and maintain a healthy conversion rate into sales opportunities. The position is 100% remote.
Core Responsibilities
Lead generation strategy:
Oversee all marketing events, digital campaigns, new content creation, and product launches to drive leads and fill the sales funnel.
Strategic brand evolution:
Analyze and improve existing branding and marketing strategies to reinforce Tulip’s status as a leader in the retail space.
Clienteling advocacy:
Develop messaging that highlights the power of 1-to-1 client relationships and how Tulip helps retailers grow through personalized service.
Budget & resource management:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest‑impact channels.
Performance leadership:
Set and monitor daily, weekly, and yearly targets, and performance manage the team to ensure consistent achievement of growth milestones.
Market intelligence:
Conduct deep research and monitor competitor moves to ensure Tulip retains and grows share of mind as the forerunner in retail innovation.
Sales alignment:
Act as a strategic partner to the Sales team to ensure seamless lead handoff and robust support for high‑value accounts.
Requirements
Extensive experience in a marketing management leadership role, preferably within the retail tech or SaaS sectors.
Partner recruiting and marketing experience is a strong asset.
Campaign fluency:
Must have experience across a number of different channels and strategies including ABM, email, content, webinars, trade shows/events, partnerships to drive oversight and leadership to our lead generation programs.
Technical expertise:
Proficient in ABM, email, content, SEO/AEO, digital marketing tools (Hub Spot, Salesforce, 6
Sense), and multi‑channel marketing strategies.
Leadership:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse remote team and make informed strategic decisions.
Financial acumen:
Experience overseeing entire marketing budgets, allocation of spend, performance analysis.
Analytical mindset:
Highly observant and analytical, with the ability to translate market trends into actionable strategies.
Retail industry experience:
An understanding of the retail space and/or retail marketing space is a requirement.
