Security Shift Supervisor – Full Time – North York General Hospital (Leslie)

• Position: Shift Security Supervisor
• Site: North York General Hospital – Leslie site
• Hours: Continental 12‑hour rotation (0700‑1900 / 1900‑0700)
• Pay Rate: $24.19/hr
• Overtime Eligibility: Averaging Agreement after 88 hours
• Posting Date: December 19, 2025
• Internal Closing Date: December 30, 2025
• External Closing Date: January 16, 2026

• Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training.
• Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift.
• Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site‑specific security policies and procedures.
• Plans and implements shift work schedules.
• Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training.
• Motivates staff and issues commendations.
• Disciplines staff when necessary and ensures proper documentation is passed onto head office.
• Performs security audits.
• Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints.
• Provides proactive and reactive security patrols.
• Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager.

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider.
• COVID‑19 vaccine – two doses.
• Proof of up‑to‑date immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and a two‑step Tuberculosis skin test.
• Valid G‑class Driver's License.
• Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing during training.
• Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure.
• Proven ability to train, direct, and motivate staff.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications may opt into Paladin's UOF/MOAB certification program prior to onboarding to ensure they meet the position requirements.

The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre‑employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.
