- Position: Shift Security Supervisor
- Site: North York General Hospital – Leslie site
- Hours: Continental 12‑hour rotation (0700‑1900 / 1900‑0700)
- Pay Rate: $24.19/hr
- Overtime Eligibility: Averaging Agreement after 88 hours
- Posting Date: December 19, 2025
- Internal Closing Date: December 30, 2025
- External Closing Date: January 16, 2026
- Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training.
- Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift.
- Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site‑specific security policies and procedures.
- Plans and implements shift work schedules.
- Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training.
- Motivates staff and issues commendations.
- Disciplines staff when necessary and ensures proper documentation is passed onto head office.
- Performs security audits.
- Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints.
- Provides proactive and reactive security patrols.
- Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager.
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider.
- COVID‑19 vaccine – two doses.
- Proof of up‑to‑date immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and a two‑step Tuberculosis skin test.
- Valid G‑class Driver's License.
- Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing during training.
- Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure.
- Proven ability to train, direct, and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications may opt into Paladin's UOF/MOAB certification program prior to onboarding to ensure they meet the position requirements.
Please be aware:
The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre‑employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.
