Tower Guard (UNIFOR TDC Security)

Contract 18 months at Cadillac Fairview.

Provide a consistent, superior level of customer service by actively seeking opportunities to assist clients. Maintain a highly visible and reassuring presence to enforce property rules and deter crime, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. The successful candidate must work shifts including weekends, nights, and evenings.

• Protect tenant employees, property, and information through enforcement of access control and property removal processes.
• Identify and respond to security exposures, violations, hazards, and suspicious activities, reporting incidents as required.
• Perform after‑hours lock‑up and morning open‑up.
• Respond to and resolve customer concerns and complaints.
• Monitor lobby presentation and report areas requiring attention.
• Maintain and enforce access control procedures and conduct door checks.
• Conduct fire watches and other area checks as required.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

• Minimum one year general security experience preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificates preferred.
• Diploma in Security preferred.
• Successful completion of annual Use of Force and CF compliance training.
• Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Maintain safe working practices and demonstrate them to co‑workers.
• Basic knowledge of emergency procedures and SOPs.
• Maintained and enforced access control procedures.
• Complete CF Serve and Secure program and recertification annually.
• Valid Security Guard license and comply with PSISA regulations, as amended from time to time.

• Service oriented and strong customer service skills.
• Detailed notebook taking and report writing ability.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment.
• Walk or stand for extended periods, some lifting up to 20 pounds.
