DescriptionAs a Security Concierge, you’ll be responsible for assisting residents by providing information and services as needed. This role requires someone who is self‑motivated, outgoing, detail‑oriented and has great communication and organizational skills.
Shift ScheduleVaries (two shifts per week minimum, additional encouraged).
Site LocationShifts available in Toronto, Markham, Richmond Hill and Mississauga, ON.
Compensation$17.70 per hour.
Your Responsibilities- Identify and clarify residents’ needs and desires, answer questions, give directions and instructions.
- Remain calm under pressure and act quickly.
- Manage and screen messages.
- Schedule access for authorized vendors to provide services within units.
- Maintain guest privacy and organization reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.
- Enhance department and organizational reputation by owning new requests and exploring opportunities to add value.
- Ensure all safety and access control procedures are followed and maintain a safe work environment.
- Provide protection to clients, residents and property; support by answering customer inquiries and directing as required.
- Observe floors and stairways ensuring they are clear of debris, obstructions and fire hazards; lock access doors to sensitive/priority areas. Be alert to deficiencies that could cause injury or loss of assets.
- Enforce client’s rules and regulations, municipal, Ontario and Canadian laws; assist police and medical staff when required.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, customers, contractors and visitors.
- Perform routine property patrols of all building levels, parking areas and perimeter; respond to emergencies and fire alarms.
- Follow up with daily documentation, daily occurrence logs, incident reports and front‑desk software as required.
- Follow all on‑site procedures:
Employee Handbook policies and procedures, training checklist, standing orders or standard operating procedures, client policies and First Service Residential policies.
- Must possess a valid Ontario Security License.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of college‑level courses with a concentration in Business/Hospitality or Police/Security Foundations is an asset.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to communicate both on the phone and in person with clients to resolve issues and manage the business.
The work environment is normal office conditions onsite. Hours over and above normal office hours will occur, including evenings, holidays and some weekends. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
