Position: Field Support Unit - Security Guard - All Regions.
Job Description:Working on assigned shifts at different sites in All RegionsYou will provide proactive and reactive security patrols in buildings and hospitals and response to fire and emergency incidentsDisplay excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance.Provide Use of Force/Restraint as required and directed under the Mental Health ActProvide security escort service to staff and visitors as requested.Provide motor vehicle assistance to staff and or visitors as required.Accountable for keeping accurate logs and notebook entries of all shift activity and calls for service and write accurate reports upon investigations or reportable occurrences in timely manner upon completion of occurrence.Security Guards shall warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities.Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management teamMonitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properlyCooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary.Prerequisites:
Immunization Record (Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2Valid Security License for the province of OntarioValid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved providerCovid Vaccine two dosesLegally authorized to work in CanadaWilling to complete N95 Mask fit clean-shaven requirementMust have a reliable vehicleMust be proficient in English (both oral and written)Must be willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check upon offer of employmentMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
