MOBILE PATROL SUPERVISOR

We are seeking a Mobile Patrol Supervisor who takes pride in providing a safe and secure environment and courteous customer service. The ideal candidate will work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility for security and safety. Experience with veterans and reservists is valued, and the role can prepare security guards for future careers as police officers, CBSA agents, or correction officers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide security guard services at the City of Toronto Building, operating security systems, monitoring, and patrolling.
  • Respond to routine, emergency, security, and law‑enforcement calls.
  • Serve as a client‑site ambassador, delivering customer service, responding to public inquiries, and conducting guard tours.
  • Manage and lead a team of security specialists.
  • Maintain open communication with the client and ASP Incorporated.
  • Investigate and act on possible breaches of security, fire and safety hazards, illegal entry, theft, and utilities interruptions.
  • Document all security incidents in clear, concise, and accurate incident reports.
  • Activate fire alarm and safety systems, assist in evacuation procedures, and escort authorities to emergency locations.
  • Enforce the Trespass to Property Act, physically removing individuals who trespass or engage in criminal acts.
  • Control access and screen unauthorized persons, and legally arrest when necessary, surrendering them to police promptly.
  • Maintain logbook of daily activities and issuance of equipment to staff.
  • Perform open‑up and lock‑down procedures, bomb‑threat searches, and life‑safety equipment inspections and testing.
  • Follow emergency response duties as outlined in the Emergency Response Manual.
  • Receive and record complaints, conduct investigations, prepare incident reports, and conduct follow‑up investigations.
  • Liaise with shelter management to communicate issues and challenges to site operations, reporting any health, safety, fire, or life‑safety concerns.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of Canadian Police or Canadian Armed Forces experience.
  • Graduate of a recognized community college in law enforcement, security administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the North American security industry, including a related security function.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a security supervisory role.
  • Must hold a G‑class driver’s licence with a clean abstract and be over 25 years old; mobile security experience is an asset.
  • Hands‑on experience with making or assisting arrests.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Strong communication and observation skills.
  • Ability to work in high‑stress environments and make quick, informed decisions.
  • Licensed as a registered security guard in Ontario and must maintain the licence for the duration of employment.
  • Certified in Smart Serve, De‑Escalation, SCDT, Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security policies, common Acts, Codes, and legislation, including the Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, Fire Code, and WHMIS.

Compensation
  • Expected compensation: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour (base hourly pay, excluding overtime or premiums).
