  • Position: Shift Security Supervisor
  • Site: North York General Hospital Finch
  • Hours: Continental 12‑hour Rotation /)
  • Pay Rate: $21.85/hr
  • Overtime Eligibility: Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours
  • Internal Posting Date: December 22, 2025

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training.
  • Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift.
  • Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site‑specific security policies and procedures.
  • Plans and implements shift work schedules.
  • Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training.
  • Motivates staff and issues commendations.
  • Disciplines staff when necessary and ensures proper documentation is passed onto head office.
  • Performs security audits.
  • Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints.
  • Provides proactive and reactive security patrols.
  • Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager.
Prerequisites
  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
  • COVID Vaccine two doses
  • Proof of up to date immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two‑step Tuberculosis skin test
  • Valid G class Driver's License
  • Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare supervisory experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure.
  • Proven ability to train, direct, and motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
  • Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position.

Please be aware:
The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre‑employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.
