• Contribute to the design and development of the infotainment applications on Rivian and Volkswagen Group Android-based OS.
• Create modular and scalable software that can adapt to a variety of different products and use cases.
• Identify potential problems and resolve application bottlenecks for performance optimizations.
• Perform code reviews and apply continuous integration and development practices.
• Write test code to drive quality, robustness, and functional correctness.
• Design and implement subsequent application updates and releases.
• Investigate AOSP codebase to improve application performance and integration.
• Develop sample and demo applications, making use of our technology.
• Grow your skills with continual learning, workshops, conferences, and talks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in Android application development.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin; exposure to C++ or willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision.
• Experience building Android apps using core Android APIs; familiarity with Jetpack components preferred.
• Knowledge of Android lifecycle and application interface guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Android’s performance and testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with push notifications, APIs and cloud messaging.
• Prior experience in developing on-vehicle technology.
