Join our client to lead and scale engineering operations for the Automation Platform. This role involves shaping technical strategy and guiding a team in building a SaaS-based business process automation platform that supports multiple products and services.

Software Development Manager - Responsibilities:

• Hire, lead, and retain a world-class software development team in the Toronto area.

• Partner with the Head of Engineering to provide technical leadership for core products and services.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and executive leadership to align engineering priorities with business goals.

• Improve engineering processes for Agile product development, continuous delivery, and cloud-native development.

• Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers to support career growth and succession planning.

• Assist in making high-level technical and architectural decisions for enterprise-grade SaaS delivery.

• Ensure systems and services meet high standards for security, reliability, and operational excellence.

• Manage team capacity, hiring, and resource allocation as Redwood’s product portfolio grows.

• Track and report on key engineering KPIs related to delivery velocity, product quality, and operational performance.

Software Development Manager - Mandatory

Skills:



• 7+ years of software development experience with leadership exposure.

• Proven success in building and scaling enterprise SaaS products.

• Strong technical background in backend software development, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.

• Experience leading teams building cloud-native applications on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Track record of leading Agile software development processes.

• Experience in operationalizing Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous cloud delivery best practices.

Software Development Manager – Nice-to-Have

Skills:



• Background in ERP systems, ERP automation, workload automation, or RPA technologies.

• Previous involvement in cloud transformation or SaaS platform modernization initiatives.
