Full Stack Developer Job Toronto area,Ontario Canada,Software Development

BMO is currently sourcing for a Full Stack Developer to support initiatives within the Commercial Banking – Treasury & Payment Solutions (TPS) group. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto, initially requiring 2 days onsite, with the potential to increase to 4 days per week.

Role Overview:

The Full Stack Developer will contribute to both internal applications and external customer-facing platforms within the Commercial Banking space. The role includes collaboration with offshore teams to delegate and manage development tasks. Project assignment will be determined based on team needs and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain applications using Java or Python on the backend

Build frontend interfaces using Angular

Work within AWS infrastructure (e.g., EC2, Lambda)

Collaborate with offshore teams to manage tasks and timelines

Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions aligned with business objectives

Must-Have

Skills:

8+ years of full stack development experience

Proficiency in either Java or Python

Minimum 8 years of experience with Angular

Experience with AWS services, particularly EC2 and Lambda

Ability to collaborate effectively with offshore teams

Ideal Candidate:

Profile 1: AWS, Angular, and Python (preferred stack)

Profile 2:
Java, Spring, AWS, with Angular as a strong asset

Prior experience in banking or financial services is a plus

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
