About This Role
Our Retailer Growth unit focuses on core growth strategies—from top‑of‑funnel acquisition and onboarding to helping retailers get up and running on Faire. We are hiring a dynamic manager to lead growth product initiatives, ensuring secure, tested, and scalable software for millions of users.
What You’ll Do
Directly manage a large cross‑functional team of engineers developing growth product solutions.
Lead scoping and sprint planning within your teams.
Understand, triage, and assign defects alongside feature work.
Identify and scope infrastructure or tooling changes to impact efficiency and/or quality.
Dive into architecture, designs, and code to lead your team effectively.
Contribute to process and team structure decisions as a lead owner.
Directly impact our ability to grow quickly while improving operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
A passion for programming and solving problems with code.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
A strong technical background and the ability to use it daily.
A love of technology and an insatiable curiosity for new tools.
A track record of leading teams to higher levels of contribution.
A track record of helping team members achieve higher impact in their careers.
Capable and willing to write software for a couple of months during onboarding.
Willing and able to get hands dirty with software design, code creation, tooling, etc.
Bonus / Nice To Have
Postgraduate degree in management or business.
Strength and experience in running engineering teams using metrics.
Experience working with marketplaces and/or shipping problem space.
Leadership experience with other managers.
Salary Range
Canada: $184,000 – $253,000 per year. The role is also eligible for equity and benefits. Base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, market demand, and location.
Hybrid Work Information
Hybrid Faire employees currently commute to the office 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Starting January 2026, employees will be expected to work an additional flex day (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Hybrid in‑office roles may work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Certain Workplace and IT positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week, as indicated in the posting.
