Mobile Engineer
Location:
Hybrid – Toronto (3 days/week in office)
Type: Full-time | Permanent
Compensation: $140–170k base + 10% bonus + equity (pre‑IPO)
A hyper‑growth SaaS platform in the commercial services space is hiring a Mobile Engineer to build and enhance their real‑time, offline‑first mobile application that powers thousands of field and office teams across North America. You’ll work in React Native with backend integrations in Node.js/Graph
QL, shaping a core product used daily in high‑scale, mission‑critical environments. This is a hands‑on role with ownership across the mobile stack, working alongside an elite team of engineers in a collaborative, product‑first culture.
What You’ll Do
Lead development and maintenance of the real‑time, offline‑first React Native mobile app.
Build and integrate backend services with Node.js, Graph
QL, and REST APIs.
Write clean, well‑tested, reusable code with high test coverage and documentation.
Partner with QA to ensure stable, high‑quality releases.
Occasionally contribute to the React web front‑end for cross‑platform consistency.
Drive technical design discussions, perform code reviews, and champion quality standards.
Prototype new features, explore technologies, and shape the product roadmap.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years in software engineering, ideally in a fast‑paced SaaS environment.
Strong expertise in React Native and building mobile apps with real‑time/offline‑first features.
Backend experience with Node.js, Graph
QL, and REST APIs.
Proficiency in JavaScript/Type Script focused on clean, maintainable code.
Familiarity with automated testing (Jest), debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a high‑output engineering culture.
Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Prior exposure to native iOS/Android development before moving into React Native.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile deployment processes.
Knowledge of front‑end web technologies (React.js).
Contributions to open‑source projects or engineering community.
