Software Engineer, Backend​/Teams

Door Dash is building the world's most reliable on-demand logistics engine for delivery. We are expanding our Engineering teams globally and are seeking Backend Engineers to develop and maintain a large-scale, 24x7 global infrastructure system supporting our marketplace of Consumers, Merchants, and Dashers.

This role involves working on both Product and Product Platform teams. Product Engineers focus on solving key business problems by integrating product and infrastructure, operating backend services, and considering the big picture to maximize business impact. The position is hybrid, requiring some in-office presence, and reports to an Engineering Manager.

• Developing, releasing, and maintaining large-scale web applications
• Designing backend architecture and selecting appropriate tech stacks
• Enhancing performance, reliability, scalability, and security of backend systems
• Transitioning from monolithic to microservice architectures
• Addressing cutting-edge technical challenges to innovate logistics solutions

• B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with backend technology stacks
• Ability to analyze and improve system efficiency, scalability, and stability
• Experience with service-oriented architecture, REST APIs, unit testing, and system design
• Knowledge of modern web stacks and architecture (HTTP, REST)
• Proficiency with SQL and No
