Position: Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences - Ontario, USA
Overview  Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Experiences Team. This team builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. It’s a role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of product and infrastructure, thinks strategically, and designs clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance the user experience.
What You’ll Do   Collaborate with Speechify’s Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, navigate integration/UX tradeoffs for different product teams, and deliver solutions via our cross-platform SDK.
Optimize existing functionality to ship faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms.
Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.

Speed: you generate ideas quickly and know what can ship now vs. what needs more time.

Collaboration:

you can inspire, partner with, and negotiate with designers, marketers, and PMs.
Preferred Tech Stack:
Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience OK, but role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform)
Prior experience with GCP is a plus

The United States Based Salary range for this role is:  ,000 USD/Year + Bonus + Stock depending on experience
