In this role you will:
Develop and maintain revolving credit application including BAU, Intake and Projects.Work on strategic technology initiatives, including cloud migration, database upgrades, and enhancements to monitoring and observability tools.Define and enforce best practices including coding standards .Drive experimentation and optimization through proof of concepts and other means.Maintain system protocols and documentation to support operational excellence and risk managementProactively troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal customer impact and timely, effective remediation.Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? Strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience in the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC).3+ years of experience in designing and developing APIs.Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Postgre
SQL, IBM DB2) and no-SQL databases (e.g. Mongo
DB).Strong understanding of Scotiabank’s Customer Experience Center platform and Cloud platform (Azure, GCP) .Good understanding of Credit Card Processing.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field required.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proven experience in designing and deploying real-time solutions in a financial services environmentWhat's in it for you?
