MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician required in Torquay

• £35,000 - £40,000 a year
• Monday - Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm.
• Flexible working hours a possibility if required.

My client is a family owned and ran independent garage looking for an additional member of staff to add to its very professional, smalland friendly team.

The ideal MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician will ideally have 3 or more years experience working in a workshop environment and qualified to Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology. (Equivalent qualifications and / or time served also considered).

Must be capable of working under their own initiative and as part of a team when required.

This role will involve performing diagnostic work, repairs, servicing, and MOT testing on a range of vehicles. The ideal Vehicle Technician will have a strong mechanical background, a good eye for detail, and a dedication to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities in this MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician role :

• Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
• Perform general servicing, maintenance, and repair work
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete relevant documentation and maintain records of work
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed

The successful MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician will have :

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Valid MOT Licence (preferred)
• Previous experience in as a technician
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets
