Private Client Lawyer - Torquay
Our client is a dynamic and successful Devon-based firm which has experienced exceptional growth over the past few years.
They have a brand-new opportunity looking for an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join its dedicated Care & Capacity team based in their vibrant and modern Torquay office.
This is a meaningful role for someone who genuinely wants to support vulnerable individuals and their families, offering guidance at some of the most challenging points in their lives. You'll be part of a collaborative, well respected department known for delivering high quality advice across all areas of private client work.
The RoleYou’ll handle a varied and rewarding caseload focused on mental capacity law, including Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deputyship applications, and complex health and welfare matters. The work will also involve representing clients in Court of Protection proceedings, managing sensitive financial and safeguarding issues, and working closely with healthcare professionals, social services, and other key stakeholders.
About YouYou’ll be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with solid experience in private client work and a strong grounding in care and capacity matters. Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills are essential, as you’ll be supporting clients who may be vulnerable or facing difficult decisions. You should be confident managing your own caseload, comfortable working both independently and within a supportive team, and committed to maintaining high professional standards.
