Reporting to Deputy Cleaning Operations Manager, responsible for a 7‑day rotation from 06:00 to 20:00.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support day‑to‑day management of C129 WTE Healthcare Cleaning staff and maintain Trust cleaning and Infection Control policies.
• Conduct visual inspections of cleaning standards and complete cleaning sign‑off sheets.
• Support delivery of the highest standard of cleaning services to patients, staff, and visitors under the direction of the Deputy Cleaning Manager.
• Implement new cleaning operations service models in line with NHS National Standards of Cleanliness.
• Communicate effectively with staff at all levels, participate in team meetings, and maintain good handover processes.
• Respond to external inspections (CQC, Environmental Health) and escalates issues to line managers.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, act as a role model, promote infection control awareness, and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Investigate and respond to customer complaints, support incident reporting, and promote infection control awareness.
• Support daily staffing allocation and prioritize cleaning operations against agreed rotas.
• Assist in quality assurance and performance monitoring of Trust cleaning services.

Requirements:

• Experience in cleaning operations or a similar role.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of NHS infection control and cleaning standards.
• Ability to manage a staff team and work on a shift‑based schedule.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
