We are seeking a Japanese speaking IT Trackside Technical Specialist to join our growing IT Department here in Silverstone. You will help design, maintain, and optimise the IT trackside infrastructure with a particular focus on network architecture, security, and resilience. Acting as deputy to the IT Trackside Technical Lead, you will provide guidance to engineers, interface with vendors, and ensure seamless communication with Japanese‑speaking stakeholders and partners.

• Deliver responsive and effective IT support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Japanese‑speaking users and partners ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, escalating where necessary.
• Support Active Directory administration (user accounts, permissions, group policies).
• Assist with planned maintenance, upgrades, and patching of end‑user systems.
• Document incidents and resolutions using ITSM tools (e.g., Service Now, JIRA, IFS Assyst).
• Provide remote support for users across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with IT teams on escalations and small‑scale projects.
• Ensure compliance with IT security standards and assist with backup and recovery processes.

• Fluent in Japanese and English (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and Office Suite.
• Hands‑on experience with IT hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms and service delivery best practices.
• Good understanding of Active Directory and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet SLAs in a fast‑paced environment.
• Exposure to virtual environments (VMware, VDI) (desirable).
