DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated Laser Etch Operativeto join our world-class team working on a 3-month fixed term contract on a weekend shift. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all components are accurately and consistently marked in accordance with design intent, quality standards, and FIA/UIL regulations. Working within a fast-paced motor sport environment, you will play a key role in maintaining component traceability
Key Responsibilities- Accurately laser etch all metallic components to design specification and quality requirements.
- Apply label part marking to composite components, ensuring compliance with design, FIA, and UIIL standards.
- Maintain full traceability within ERP and Lifecheck systems.
- Ensure accuracy of component identification and record keeping across all manufacturing stages.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including Mechanical Inspectors, Production Control, Project Engineers, and Stores.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve efficiency and throughput while maintaining accuracy.
- Uphold company standards, reporting procedures, and Health & Safety policies at all times.
- Carry out other duties as required in line with the role.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of both metallic and composite materials.
- Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems such as IFS, SAP, or similar.
- Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Calm, confident, and focused under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communicator with a positive, professional, and collaborative approach.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic and evolving team.
- Results-oriented, decisive, and enthusiastic with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety standards.
