Head Chef – Escapade Gallery – Kitchen

Apply by 23 January 2026. This role leads our kitchen brigade in delivering a unique luxury lifestyle experience. By building and maintaining Escapade culture and service standards, the Head Chef will lead the department to commercial and brand success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement a best‑in‑class and award‑winning F&B experience.
  • Lead a dynamic kitchen team in the most exciting restaurant at Silverstone.
  • Drive innovation and create a culture of menu development.
  • Control kitchen costs, from labour to efficient solutions while maintaining quality.
  • Keep guest and team experience at the heart – lead by example, motivate and empower staff.
  • Work closely with the F&B Manager and General Manager on menu development and food quality consistency.
  • Collaborate with external catering partners to deliver major event hospitality (e.g., Formula One British Grand Prix).
  • Deliver beyond set expectations – inspire creativity.
  • Be responsible for departmental P&L, forecasting and budget planning.
  • Implement and maintain departmental procedures, policies and checklists.
  • Coordinate staff schedules, holidays and leave to achieve maximum satisfaction.
  • Communicate and monitor standards set by the Escapade General Manager.
  • Maintain operational/departmental budgets, equipment and stock controls.
  • Control ordering/purchasing and maintain stock levels.
  • Ensure staff are trained on safe working practices and luxury customer service.
  • Act as main point of contact for guest complaints and customer feedback.
  • Identify and rectify quality issues and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain open communication with other department heads.
  • Participate in preparation and execution of hotel goals.
  • Monitor and control inventories for operating equipment.
  • Manage staff performance, rewards, recognition and disciplinary practices.
  • Carry out ad‑hoc duties and projects as advised by the General Manager.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a successful lifestyle or distinctive restaurant.
  • Pre‑opening experience is advantageous.
  • Experience managing a team of at least 15 staff.
  • Strong, positive leadership style.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Immaculate personal grooming and hygiene.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
