Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer

6+ Months , Contract to Hire

Pay range: $25/hour to $30/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Note:

Will pay more for someone with strong EMC experience – ideally BAT EMC

Perform EMC tests per documented laboratory procedures and published standards and specifications.

This includes:

• Receiving and identifying test samples per laboratory procedures
• Receiving training on laboratory test methods and becoming autonomous
• Performing tests as defined in test plans and standards / specifications
• Fabricating harnesses, load simulators and fixtures to facilitate testing
• Follow the laboratory quality management system to continuously improve, including:
• Participation in internal quality audits and third party assessments
• Immediate identification of any nonconforming work
• Participation in laboratory group meetings
• Closing assigned corrective actions required (CAR)
• Making suggestions for improving laboratory processes

• Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical or equivalent
• The ability to read, understand & follow standards, test instructions, procedures and schematic diagrams.
• The ability to fabricate test harnesses, load simulators and test fixtures.
• Good technical writing skills.
• Organized and methodical work habits.
• Neat and precise record keeping.

• Experience using electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, power supplies, Spectrum analyzers, etc.
