Job Summary

An exciting opportunity on the Renal unit at RCHT for a Band 5 registered Renal Dialysis Nurse to deliver excellent and holistic patient care within our renal dialysis team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of renal dialysis to patients.
• Commit to patient‑centred care and support clinical excellence.
• Participate in the dedicated training framework for haemodialysis skills.
• Support the development of a local nurse network to cascade knowledge and improve standards.
• Assist in monitoring and improving dialysis quality indicators.

Essential Qualifications (as per NHS)

• Registered nurse with current UK registration.
• Post‑registration registration in renal/specialty nursing.
• Qualifications:
  
  degree or equivalent experience.

Desirable Qualifications

• Management qualification.
• Post‑registration course in renal speciality or willingness to undertake.
• Mentor qualification.

Experience Required

• Post registration experience in the renal speciality.
• Dialysis experience.
• Experience of mentoring/assessing students.
• Previous management experience desirable.

Salary and Conditions

Band 5 – £31,049 to £37,796 a year (pro rata). Permanent contract, full‑time. Working pattern: full time. Reference number: 156‑7620196.
