Lead Exterior Designer
We are currently seeking a Lead Exterior Designer who will join Alfa Romeo. The profile requires a committed professional who shares the values of the Brand, gives his or her best to support Alfa Romeo, and brings a creative and out-of-the-box approach. The designer will need to develop new automotive trends through hand‑sketches and 3D digital tools, work in an intercultural team, and manage challenges posed by cultural differences while collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Qualifications

At least 10 years of experience in an OEM, with 5 years as senior designer, having brought production cars to market and/or designed significant concept cars.

Complete knowledge of the design process from initial sketch to industrialisation.

Experience in production and a proven record of leading projects in close collaboration with engineering, communications and marketing departments.

Highly skilled in detail design and graphics.

Ability to present 2D and 3D concepts using manual/digital sketching, ALIAS, Photoshop, VRED, Blender, PPT, Illustrator.

Previous experience in clay modeling follow‑up.

A creative mind that stays updated on stylistic and functional needs of the automotive sector and draws parallelisms with other design disciplines.

Ability to direct and focus on multiple projects, driving them autonomously and coaching less experienced designers.

Strong team‑working and communications skills, with good English knowledge; essential for working in an intercultural team.
