This role is based at  Lear Corporation Headquarters in Gruagliasco , the core corporate hub for supplier strategy, engineering coordination, and program launch governance. The Supplier Quality Engineer supports Lear’s  European and global operations  by ensuring strong supplier quality performance across the supply base.

The role focuses on  APQP deployment, launch readiness, supplier development, and risk prevention , working directly with suppliers producing  trim covers  and partnering closely with Lear plants, Purchasing, and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Lead supplier  APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans

Support program launches and quality gateway reviews

Conduct supplier audits and drive corrective actions

Manage performance of key and high-risk suppliers

Support Lear plants with escalated supplier quality topics

Monitor supplier scorecards and KPIs

Support supplier approval and development activities

Ensure compliance with Lear, customer, and industry standards

Authority to stop shipments when quality, safety, or compliance is at risk

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field

Minimum  5 years’ experience  in Manufacturing or Supplier Quality

Experience leading quality activities with suppliers  (without people management) is preferred, such as:

Coordinating APQP and launches

Leading audits and corrective actions

Driving improvement plans with suppliers

Managing cross-functional quality topics
