We are looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to design, develop and test firmware and libraries for microcontrollers/microprocessors used in Arduino or other embedded platforms (e.g. Yocto Linux, etc.). Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

What you’ll work on

Design, develop, code, test and debug embedded software (C++,

C)

Prototype a product solution from research to production

Most of the code will be open‑source; we require high quality when coding and documenting

Maintain and improve the code

Spread the Arduino verb at conferences and with the developer community

Collaborate with hardware design team – review code

Review hardware designs

What you bring

Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field

At least 5 years experience in firmware and libraries development (C, C++)

Experience with JTAG and other debugging tools (gdb/valgrind)

Familiarity with Linux kernel or userspace programming

Extensive experience in hardware debugging

Knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, AMQP) and Git Hub

Broad knowledge of Git flow

Fluent in English, both verbal and written – mandatory

Bonus Points

Knowledge of the Arduino ecosystem

Experience with Golang and/or Python
