The Opportunity

We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Istanbul/Ankara office to strengthen our Mechanical Team for local and international projects.

As a Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will:

• Be involved in building services (mechanical) design activities (HVAC, public health, firefighting) for various building/project types. The group collaborates with high-profile architects on diverse projects.
• Provide interdisciplinary coordination and document production.
• Be responsible for preparing building services design documents on time and to high quality standards.

About

We're looking for someone passionate about working on prestigious projects in Türkiye and overseas. We value:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in mechanical engineering from reputable universities.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in HVAC design, building energy modelling, and sustainable building design.
• Knowledge and experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) software such as Navisworks, Solibri, Revit, Magicad.
• Experience in performing energy analyses using software like HAP, IES, eQUEST, Energy Plus.
• Knowledge of parametric design/programming languages (e.g., C#, Python) is an advantage.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Autocad, HAP, Trace 700 or similar tools.
• Experience designing to local and international codes.
• A solid understanding of fundamental principles, adaptability, and willingness to develop skills across various project types.
• High accuracy standards, ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks.
• CFD experience is a plus.
• No military obligation for male candidates.
