With already more than 250 Employees, Técnicas Reunidas has set a permanent Operations Office in Istanbul from which it will not only develop engineering activities for projects inside Turkey but also for projects worldwide in collaboration with main headquarters in Madrid (Spain). In fact, in the first 5 months since Técnicas Reunidas İstanbul started, Engineering Activities have been developed from referred office for more than 40 different projects and proposals worldwide from 20 different countries, which stands as remarkable sign of work and workload stability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with directives and corporate/project procedures
• Commercial management of the assigned purchases and purchase orders
• Supplier and bidder evaluation and selection
• Launch of Requests for quotation and expediting timely receipt of bids
• Evaluation, clarification and negotiation of sound bids
• Issue of final Commercial Tabulation and recommendation
• Prepare Award Recommendations
• Issue and follow-up of approved Purchase Orders, including changes and final close out
• Coordinate and lead kick-off meetings and expediting tasks
• Expedite proactively fabrication and deliveries of suppliers
• Internal expediting and close coordination with other departments and project
• Provision of related reports and status

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years experience in purchasing and expediting activities with demonstrable references in the development of international projects in the refinery, petrochemical, gas and/or energy sectors though main EPC contractors.
• Familiar with industrial plant equipment and materials and with strong supplier contacts in related sectors
• Experience in supplier development and relationship management
• Solid technical/commercial background, experience and training
• Significant international experience and knowledge of working with suppliers and clients
• Experienced and effective negotiator
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Proven communicator and problem solver
• Proactive and effective team member
• Adaptable and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Excellent internal communication, expediting and negotiating skills with the ability to influence the achievement of positive results
• Experience in the preparation of the required Purchasing Department deliverables:
  Request for Quotation, Commercial Evaluations, Request for Purchasing (Orders)…
• Strong computer skills:
  Microsoft Office tools (outlook, excel (pivot tables), word, …) and experience with any ERP system
• Ability to prepare clear and concise reporting
• Excellent English level (spoken and written) to carry out all the required activities in International markets.
• Working knowledge of other languages. Some knowledge of Spanish language will be positively evaluated
