Senior Geophysicist

Responsibilities

• Lead 2D/3D seismic interpretation to define structural and strati graphic frameworks for exploration and development projects.
• Integrate geophysical, geological, petrophysical, and engineering data to construct coherent and consistent subsurface models.
• Perform volumetric calculations in coordination with reservoir engineering teams to support resource and reserve estimation.
• Prepare and deliver geophysical inputs for static and dynamic geomodels
  , including structure maps, fault frameworks, horizons, and property trends.
• Provide seismic-based parameters and stress-related data as input for geomechanical modeling and analysis
  .
• Participate in field development planning
  , contributing to well placement, infill opportunities, and production optimization.
• Oversee and QC seismic data processing and reprocessing workflows
  , ensuring optimal imaging and interpretability.
• Build and maintain velocity models for time-to-depth conversion and uncertainty evaluation.
• Maintain awareness of advanced geophysical techniques (e.g., seismic attributes, AVO, inversion) to ensure integration and consistency with reservoir geophysics workflows.
• Prepare and present technical reports, cross-discipline reviews, and project recommendations for decision-making.
• Mentor junior geoscientists and promote best practices in geophysical interpretation and integration.
• Support new venture assessments, prospect evaluations, and development optimization initiatives.

• Minimum BSc degree in Geophysics, Geology, or related Earth Science discipline. MSc and/or PHD degrees in related discipline are desirable.
• Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in exploration and/or development geophysics.
• Proven proficiency in industry standard softwares for seismic interpretation, mapping, volumetric estimation, and geomodel integration.
  Petrel is a plus.
• Solid understanding of geophysical theory
  , seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation principles.
• Strong collaboration skills with reservoir engineering and geological teams for integrated field development planning.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Independent, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong project management abilities.
• Programming or scripting knowledge (Python, MATLAB, etc.) is an advantage.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken);
  Turkish is a plus.
