Business Development Specialist

Climate Balanced is looking for a “Business Development Specialist” to work in environmental commodity markets and sustainability domain for:

• Sourcing new clients for carbon offset, energy attribute and plastic reduction project portfolio
• Carbon trading (i.e., carbon offset and emission allowance)
• Energy Attribute Certificate (i.e., I‑REC, GO etc) trading
• Capacity building (i.e., climate policy analysis and training on climate change and carbon pricing)
• Sourcing new clients for ESG services (Sustainability Reporting and ESG Scoring)

It shall be noted that the position will accept applications of candidates that meet the requirements defined as follow:

• Being fluent (write, read and speak) in English and Turkish
• Having notice period no more than 1 month
• Having strong reporting and communication skills
• Having no travel restrictions
• Residing in Ankara, Turkey

The following qualifications and conditions will be plus:

• Having experience in either Carbon Offsetting / Climate Change / Renewable Energy sectors
• Having experience in ESG Consulting
• Having experience in sales or business development
• Having experience in working for projects in Africa and Middle East
• Having experience in financial modelling for energy projects

The preferred disciplines for this position are as follow:
Engineering (primarily chemical, environmental and energy) and Economics
