Our company, Tüprag Metal Madencilik, is seeking a skilled Chief Geotechnical Engineer to manage and support all geotechnical studies of our open pit, waste dump, and leach pad operations at Kışladağ Gold Mine. The role will be responsible for ongoing geotechnical studies, analyzing slope stability, managing pore pressure monitoring and modelling, managing geotechnical risks, and ensuring strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct and report daily site and facility inspections focused on geotechnical aspects.
- Monitor and evaluate geotechnical databases, including Radar, Prisms, InSAR, TDR, SAA, VWP, inclinometers, and extensometers.
- Review and report monitoring instrument thresholds based on rock and soil behavior.
- Manage prism data interpretation; visualize cumulative displacements in 2D heat maps and cross sections and compare with InSAR data.
- Perform and oversee slope stability analyses using analytical and numerical methods.
- Provide geotechnical input for short-, medium-, and long-term mine planning.
- Collect and manage data for geotechnical risk reporting in pits, dumps, and pads.
- Develop and manage hazard-specific action plans (TARP) for all facilities.
- Supervise drilling and sensor installation activities in pits, dumps, and pads.
- Oversee face and major structural mapping of rock slopes and cuts, including stabilization measures.
- Reconcile mapped data with pit cuts and update mapping databases for modeling.
- Manage field and core sample collection for laboratory testing.
- Conduct and supervise wall-control studies in the pit.
- Evaluate hydrogeological data and assist with numerical modeling.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the site geotechnical team.
- Provide expert geotechnical advice to mine management, planning, operations, and contractors.
- Coordinate with geology, mine planning, drilling & blasting, and production teams to optimize pit and heap performance.

- Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant geotechnical experience, with significant exposure to open-pit mining.
- Proven experience in slope design, slope monitoring, and ground control in large-scale operations.
- Prior leadership or senior geotechnical role experience is essential.
- Good command of GIS, Leapfrog, Roc Science, and Radar HMIs.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Teamwork, flexibility and communication skills.
