The Bilkent University IT Department is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously improving the university’s digital ecosystem, which supports thousands of students, faculty, researchers, and administrative staff.

Our team leads enterprise-level software development, infrastructure services, data management, and digital transformation initiatives across the campus.

As part of our modernization strategy, we are redesigning legacy systems, building new platforms, and adopting modern architectures to enhance the quality, security, and scalability of all digital services. We are expanding our team with skilled professionals who will contribute to shaping the future of Bilkent University’s technology landscape.

We are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to act as the primary design resource for our IT projects. You will be responsible for translating requirements into functional, aesthetic, and user-friendly interfaces. You will work on both mobile and web platforms, ensuring a consistent and professional user experience across all university digital services.

• Create pixel-perfect UI designs, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for both Mobile and Web Applications using Figma.
• Build and maintain UI Kits and Design Systems to ensure consistency across projects and speed up the development process.
• Apply Bilkent University’s existing brand guidelines (colors, typography) effectively to digital interfaces.
• Map out user flows and minimize friction in complex university processes (e.g., course registration, information access).
• Prepare organized design assets and specs for development teams to ensure accurate implementation.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in UI/UX design.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating examples of both Mobile App and Web interfaces.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma is required.
• Experience creating components, styles, and organized design systems for developer handoff.
• Ability to convert functional requirements into clear design solutions.
• Preferably experience designing for Higher Education, EdTech, or large-scale enterprise apps.
• Preferably experience using Zeplin for UI delivery.
• Proficiency in English is a strong plus.
