Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage the maintenance team, including technicians and engineers.
Establish goals and performance standards for the team and provide continuous development opportunities.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all printing equipment (e.g., offset printing presses, digital printers, finishing machines).
Supervise corrective maintenance to address equipment breakdowns and ensure rapid resolution.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems with printing and related machinery.
Ensure timely repairs and oversee outsourced maintenance services when required.
Machinery Optimization:
Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify potential issues and areas for optimization.
Work with production teams to enhance equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Inventory & Spare Parts Management:
Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and equipment for quick repairs.
Negotiate with suppliers and manage the procurement of spare parts and maintenance tools.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure that all equipment and tools are operating safely and efficiently.
Budget & Cost Control:
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Analyze maintenance costs and implement cost-saving initiatives where possible.
Vendor Management:
Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for specialized repairs, overhauls, and equipment upgrades.
Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate service contracts.
Continuous Improvement:
Promote continuous improvement in maintenance processes, aiming for increased uptime and improved equipment reliability.
Stay updated on the latest maintenance techniques, technologies, and tools used in the printing industry.
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing machinery-related issues.
Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
Technical/Functional Proficiency Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, or Printing
