Role Overview
Are you our next apprentice administration hero? Could you help us provide great patient friendly service and secretarial support? If so, you could start off your career supporting the admin team within the Diabetes & Endocrinology department, working whilst studying for an apprenticeship.
Responsibilities- Assist with typing tasks and booking patient appointments.
- Deal with telephone enquiries, filing and general office duties to ensure clinics run smoothly.
- Provide high quality secretarial support to the department.
- Split your time between the Diabetes, Endocrinology and Clinical Investigation Unit teams to learn from different staff groups.
- Communicate confidently with service users over the telephone and face‑to‑face.
- Handle patient information on a daily basis, maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Utilise IT skills and departmental database systems, prioritising your workload effectively.
- Work as a team player and uphold the Trust’s PRIDE values.
- Enrollment in a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship (to be completed within a 14‑month contract).
- Strong data entry and IT skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation abilities.
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and confidentiality.
