Exciting Opportunity for a Vehicle Technician at a Leading Car Dealership Group in Ton Pentre

Our client, a reputable, family-run car dealer group, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department in Ton Pentre. • Starting salary up to £35,700, dependent on experience
• Performance-based bonus scheme averaging £400 per month (£4,800 per annum)
• Overtime paid at time and a half, with opportunities to increase earnings
• 20 days annual holiday, plus bank holidays

• Working hours:
  
  Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00am - 1:00pm, paid at time and a half

• Carrying out fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles following manufacturer standards
• Ensuring faults are accurately identified and reporting on vehicle condition, safety, and performance
• Adhering strictly to quality procedures and processes laid down by the client and vehicle manufacturer
• Working efficiently within a busy dealership environment, meeting targets, and maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Supporting the team with vehicle diagnostics, electronic systems, and general repairs
• Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment in line with dealership policies

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (minimum)
• 1-2 years post-qualification experience preferred

• Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• A committed, proactive team player with a strong work ethic
• Capable of producing high-quality work under time pressures
• Experience with vehicle diagnosis, electronics, or light commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential
• An active MOT Smart Card is desirable
