Senior Estimator - Social Housing

Are you a detail-orientated Senior Estimator with a strong commercial mindset?

Approach Personnel are proud to be partnered with a leading name in the regeneration housing sector, who are currently on the look out for an experienced Senior Estimator to join them on a permanent basis, out of their West Midlands based office. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for playing a crucial role in the commercial success of our projects, by preparing accurate cost estimates and obtainiing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

What are we looking for?

• Prior working experience as an Senior Estimator on socila housing/ regeneration works
• Strong analytical and commercial skills with a proactive approach to risk management.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
• High attention to detail and a strong understanding of subcontract and supplier market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the identification of commercial risks and apply company commercial protocols.
• Liaise with internal departments and external consultants to compile comprehensive bid submissions.
• Undertake detailed reviews of tender documentation (ITT) and conduct site visits to assess scope and risk.
• Analyse subcontract quotes, highlighting exclusions and resolving queries prior to adjudication.
• Maintain a current cost database in collaboration with procurement and post-contract teams.
• Ensure smooth handover of successful bids to delivery teams and support ongoing quality and compliance initiatives.
