Are you an experienced Senior Architectural Technician looking to take the next step in your career?

We’re working with a well-established organisation with a strong UK development pipeline that is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join its expanding Development Design team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping early-stage design, feasibility, and planning work for a range of purpose-built projects across the country.

The Role

As Senior Architectural Technician, you will support the delivery of concept designs, feasibility studies, and planning submissions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and innovation throughout all stages of design. You’ll collaborate closely with planners, engineers, consultants, and internal stakeholders, bringing strong technical capability and clear communication to each project.

This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can manage multiple deadlines, and enjoys resolving complex design challenges. You will also provide informal guidance to junior colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing high-quality feasibility studies, conceptual layouts, and early design proposals
  • Applying strong knowledge of UK building regulations and planning processes
  • Preparing and coordinating planning submissions, including CGI support and scheme modelling
  • Assessing site constraints and development potential using survey data and technical standards
  • Working with internal and external professionals to deliver well-coordinated design solutions
  • Identifying potential design risks and developing practical, cost-effective responses
  • Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations, health & safety requirements, and the Building Safety Act
  • Staying informed on industry trends and contributing to team development
About You

We’re looking for a motivated, technically capable individual who delivers accurate design information while thriving in a collaborative environment.

You will have :
  • A degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within design or the wider built environment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and associated design tools
  • Strong understanding of UK planning requirements and building standards
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
