We are looking for a salaried GP to join our team for 4 sessions per week here at Maybole Medical Practice. The position has arisen as we are soon due to wave one of our existing GPs off on a happy retirement. We can offer attractive terms and a flexible start date. Our list size is approximately 4200. We are a semi‑rural town practice and a training practice.

We are located only 10 minutes south of Ayr and are admin light. We use EMIS/Docman, and appointments are 15 minutes.

Annual leave includes 6 weeks plus bank holiday entitlement, with an additional 1 week of study leave. There is attractive bonus annual leave at Christmas and New Year. There is no traditional ‘On Call’ system, and the home visit rate is low with the ANP HV model. Work‑life balance is a priority, so late finishes are uncommon.

We’re very fortunate to be well supported by our dedicated pharmacy team, Mental Health Practitioners, Community Link Worker, CTAC team, and Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner. Behind the scenes, our wonderful management and admin team keep everything running like clockwork. Their experience and commitment are at the heart of our smooth and proactive practice.
