Structural Engineer

A well-established, independent civil & structural engineering consultancy is looking to hire a Structural Engineer to join its growing buildings team. You'll work on a varied portfolio of UK projects across sectors such as residential, education, healthcare, leisure and commercial, supporting delivery from early concept through to construction.

What you'll be doing

• Producing structural designs, calculations and technical reports (steel, concrete, masonry and timber)
• Supporting scheme development, options appraisals and detailed design
• Coordinating with architects, contractors and other consultants to ensure practical, buildable solutions
• Assisting with drawing/specification production and design information reviews
• Contributing to project delivery, including responding to site queries and attending meetings when required
• Working within modern digital workflows

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Experience delivering UK building structures projects
• Familiarity with common analysis/design tools (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, ETABS, etc.)
• Understanding of UK codes/standards
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach
• Working towards chartership (ICE/IStruct
  
  E) or already Chartered (depending on level)
