Our client is an established Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy who is seeking an experienced Principal Structural Technician to join their growing team in Birmingham. The opportunity arises from continued business growth and an increasing pipeline of technically diverse projects across various sectors throughout the UK. They have multiple offices across the UK and deliver complex projects across all sectors, specialising in industry and logistics, education, healthcare, residential, retail and regeneration.

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of duties. These include leading the production of Structural Engineering drawings at all project stages, maintaining and developing company standards, ensuring compliance, reviewing and quality-checking projects models and drawings, overseeing and managing multiple BIM projects, preparing and managing project documentation, supporting Engineers in developing design solutions, liaising with clients and stakeholders, contributing to continuous improvement and mentoring and supervising junior technicians.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in Structural Engineering (or a similar field), experience with large scale, complex, multi-phase developments, have experience in project management and contract administration and be chartered (or close to) with Eng Tech, IENG or IStruct
